How To Replace Network Module (Wifi) in a Laptop





If you do not have any WI-FI card or your card is damaged or you want to replace it in any other way, this is the article for you.

Steps

  1. 1
    Do some research. Include:
    • If your laptop supports a wifi card
    • if it supports one, then find out what socket does it require (like Mini-PCI, or Half-Mini PCI, or any other socket)
    • What type of Wi-Fi you need (like 802.11n)

    Now, open your back cover of your laptop.There may be your existing card with one or two wires attached to it or the two wires detached and with no card.

    Remove the card (if there is one) Then remove the cables (if there is a card)
    • If it is tall, make sure your card is also tall.
    • If it is square-shaped, make sure your card is the same-shaped.

    Insert your new card then connect the black wire to the socket labelled by a black triangle and others like that.

    Close your back cover.

    Boot your laptop

    Install your drivers

    Reboot your computer

    Enjoy your new card
